What is Textmolt?

Textmolt is an AI sidebar for Microsoft Word. Select text, ask for a better version, and write the result straight back into your document.
Textmolt lives in a sidebar next to your document. It reads the text you point it at, answers in the sidebar, and puts the result back into Word when you ask it to. It never edits your document on its own — text only goes in when you click a button such as Write to document.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”Rework what you select. Select a passage in Word and Textmolt offers one-click actions — Polish, Translate to English, Expand, Summarize and Explain — or type your own instruction, such as “make this more formal”. See Select text and use quick actions.
Put the result into your document. Every reply has a Write to document button. It replaces your selection (or inserts at the cursor), and you can undo it. See Write results back into your document.
Ask about the whole document. Click + next to the input box and choose Word · full text. Your next message is sent together with the full text of the current document.
Work with your Zotero library. With the Viamolt app paired, you can search your Zotero library from Word, read a paper’s PDF and insert citations. See Set up Zotero and pair Viamolt.
A quick tour of the sidebar

| Zotero library → at the top | Opens your Zotero library (needs Viamolt). |

Where Textmolt runs
Section titled “Where Textmolt runs”Textmolt is an add-in for Microsoft Word on Windows: Microsoft 365, Office 2021 or later, or Office 2019 Retail. It needs an internet connection, because the sidebar and every AI request run through Textmolt’s servers. To get started, install Textmolt in Word and then sign in.
Your text and your privacy
Section titled “Your text and your privacy”Text from your document is sent only when you send a message or run an action — for example the selection shown above the input box, or the whole document when you add Word · full text. It goes over an encrypted connection to Textmolt and on to the model you chose. For the details, read the Privacy Policy on textmolt.com.
